April 23rd, 2016 was the best day of my life. It’s the day I said “I do” to my husband and gathered 200 of the most important people to us in one location.
It’s so rewarding to see months and months of planning and attention to detail come to fruition and watch your overall dream and vision become a reality. Not to mention, vowing to spend the rest of eternity with your best friend surrounded by your closest friends and family is pretty neat.
Mushy feelings aside, dreaming up the vision and overall ambiance for mine and Tommy’s garden wedding began this entire adventure of starting Creative Freedom Design. Planning a wedding is exciting and stressful and scary and fun and intimidating and mind-numbing, all at once. But planning a wedding is also the absolute coolest because it is setting the vibe of the day that marks the start of rest of your life as a married couple.
The vibe of our entire wedding began with a watercolor painting of garden roses, which became the background of our Invitation, and then our RSVP’s, and then our Welcome Sign, and then laid the foundation for the look and feel for the rest of the night. Designing the materials that helped make our garden wedding feel like a fairy tale was a pretty rewarding experience, and seeing those designs around our venue the night of made our special day all the more special.
